    This monthly 45-minute program for children 22 months to four years, who are accompanied by an adult, may include stories, games, activities, crafts, and live animals. This session, entitled "Garden Critters" will explore the differences between mammals, reptiles and birds. The cost is $10 for Zoo members and one child; $15 for non-members and one child. Participants may sign up for either May 12 or 13. To make a reservation, pre-register by calling the Zoo's Education Department at 203-394-6563.

    The Species Survival Plan (SSP) is like a computer dating service for endangered animals. Come learn how breeding decisions are made to help save animals around the globe. Find out more about SSP's -  how they work and the science behind dealing with zoo populations. Discussion led by Don Goff, Deputy Director of Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo and Co-Chair of the Felid Taxon Advisory Group. Held in our Hanson Exploration Station just outside the front gates. $10 suggested donation. Refreshments served.

    Join us for an expedition of taste! Featuring fabulous fare from area restaurants and tastings of over 100 different wines and over 60 different beers from around the world and close to come. Evening festivities also include live entertainment, silent auction, and raffle! Tickets are $60 each. Parties of 4 or more will receive each standard ticket for $55. VIP Tickets at $100 each entitle you to an exclusive "Behind the Scenes" with our animals from 4:30-5:30 pm pre-event. Tickets at the gate are $65 if available.
