Animal Sponsorship - Expand Your Family Tree!

Would you like to be a monkey’s uncle? How about a marmoset’s mom or an alligator’s aunt? You can be a barn owl’s big brother and even a caique’s cousin. It’s simple. Just join our growing Zoo family by sponsoring an animal.

Who can sponsor an animal?
You can sponsor an animal for yourself, your family or friends, your classroom or scout troop, your co-worker or even your business!

Animal sponsorships make “wild” gifts! They’re unique, they’re fun and they make a real contribution towards the enrichment and preservation of endangered species. Of course, all sponsored animals remain here at the Zoo under the care of our trained professionals, but we encourage you to visit your sponsored animal often. Remember, we are open year-round.

What are the animal sponsorship funds used for?
Animal sponsorship funds are used for exhibit renovations, special enrichment items and most importantly, to support conservation programs here at the Zoo and in the wild.

What happens if my animal moves to another Zoo?
In the event that your sponsored animal is moved to another Zoo or Aquarium your sponsorship can be redirected to help another animal or be applied to the general animal collection. Animals are sometimes moved for breeding purposes, to provide a bright future for the entire species.
