Zoo Steps Up to the Plate with the Bridgeport Bluefish

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - June 12, 2012 - Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo is teaming up with the Bridgeport Bluefish in what is sure to be a grand slam for families throughout Connecticut and beyond. On June 23, 2012, visitors can enjoy Bluefish Day at the Zoo from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Zoo Day at the Bluefish will be hosted on July 15, 2012, when the Bluefish host the Long Island Ducks at 2:05 p.m. Through Labor Day, visitors may show their ticket stubs from either location for discounted admission at the opposite attraction (details below). This partnership helps celebrate the Zoo's 90th birthday and the 15th anniversary of the Bridgeport Bluefish.

"Offering reciprocal discounts for America's favorite pastime and Connecticut's only Zoo means double the fun for our visitors. Just be sure to save your ticket stubs for discount admission at the Zoo and The Ballpark at Harbor Yard this summer!"

"We both strive to create a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for all of our guests and this offer helps even more in our efforts."

Bluefish Day at the Zoo on June 23, 2012, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm will give fans an opportunity to meet and greet with team officials, players, and B.B. the Bluefish while having a fun filled day for the whole family.

Zoo Day at the Bluefish will be hosted on July 15, 2012 when the Bluefish take on long-time rivals the Long Island Ducks at 2:05 pm. Zoo staff will be inside the stadium offering special drawings for great prizes and zoo merchandise while sharing information about the new animals coming to Connecticut's only zoo this summer.

All summer long, visitors may present their Bluefish ticket stub to receive 15% off a child's admission into the Zoo.
