Zoo Tour: Food at the Zoo
|
 The Zoo offers visitors a chance to eat at the Peacock Cafe year-round from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with a varying menu that may include hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chicken nuggets, french fries, ice cream and beverages. The Cafe has seating for 50 people indoors and outdoor seating for 500.
The Zoo also has a seasonal Snack Shack which serves ice cream, chips, cookies, and slushie drinks. Drink vending machines are available at the Front Gate Plaza, Farmyard and Carousel Building and snacks such as candy and cookies may be purchased in the Gift Shop.
Zoo visitors may bring in their own picnic basket and make use of the Zoo's many picnic tables. No outside food may be brought into the Peacock Cafe.
School Teachers: Please note that school groups are encouraged to bring their own bag lunches in order to avoid long lines and spend the most time viewing the Zoo's many interesting exhibits. Due to seating restrictions, school groups may purchase food at the Peacock Cafe but they must eat outdoors on the Zoo's many picnic tables.
