Storybook Magic COMES alive with “Fairy Tails Day” at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo will soon transform into a whimsical wonderland for a day where children can bring their favorite storybook characters to life! On Saturday, September 13th from 10am-3pm, the Zoo will host “Fairy Tails Day,” a fantastical event filled with enchanting activities for kids of all ages.

Fairy Tails Day will feature…
Meet & Greet Storytime Princesses and Heroes: Children can meet and take photos with their beloved heroes and heroines; Elsa, Anna, Superman, Black Panther, Batman, Galinda, and Elphaba.
Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos: Add a touch of magic with face painting and glitter tattoos.

Children are encouraged to dress as their favorite storybook character and let the magic unfold. The day of fantasy and fun is made possible by the Zoo’s Magic Maker Sponsor, TD Bank, who will be on-site with family-friendly financial literacy programs. In addition, visitors are welcome to enjoy a special collaboration with Sound Coffee, available exclusively in the Zoo’s gift shop as the signature Beardsley Blend.

Families can also stop by the Bridgeport Public Library table, where visitors will be encouraged to sign up for a new library card in honor of National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Guests at the zoo will also enjoy a sneak peek of this year’s Glow Wild lanterns, as the events dazzling and larger-than-life lanterns will be on display ahead of its official run from September 25 – December 14. Tickets for Glow Wild are on sale now.
