BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – October 1, 2019 – Fall is a great season for families to spend outdoors, and Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo just added two new events to their already fabulous fall lineup. “Fall into Fun Family Weekends” will join Scarecrows on Parade and the popular Boo at the Zoo as opportunities to enjoy warm sunny days before the onset of winter weather. Fall into Fun Family Weekends will take advantage of two long weekends: the Columbus Day weekend on October 12, 13, and 14, and the Veteran’s Day Weekend on November 9, 10, and 11.
Both weekends will include a maze to navigate, story-times, scavenger hunts, and crafts at the Research Station. The canteen will serve corn on the cob in celebration of fall. Guests will enjoy seeing the dozens of decorated scarecrows on the lawn in front of the Victorian Greenhouse and hear Animal Talks from the Zoo’s Education staff. October also includes the family favorite Boo at the Zoo on Sunday, October 27th, featuring free admission for a child under 12 in costume when accompanied by an adult, with crafts, story-times, and cool critters. Guaranteed to delight and fright all who attend. On Monday, November 11, veterans receive free admission, with a 20% discount for their families. Comments are closed.
