Virtual ExperiencesBring the zoo to your screen! Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo offers a variety of digital programs for audiences of all ages. The Zoo is capable of hosting events via zoom, or can join a pre-set up webinar hosted by your group.

City Nature Challenge Learn how to identify and document wildlife in your own backyard.

Kids & Teens
Zoo-TotsZoo Tots is a 30–35-minute program for ages 22 months to 4 years, who are accompanied by an adult. Activities may include stories, games, crafts, and live animals.

Zoo PatrolEach day your child will explore a different area of the zoo and have a custom guided experience. They'll explore how the animals are cared for through presentations and projects on enrichment, training, diet, and habitat care, and more!

CDCGet involved with local conservation education and field work. Qualified high school students will have the opportunity to work side by side with field biologists, study the role of zoos in conservation and help educate the zoo’s visitors. This is a year-long program with the opportunity for greatest involvement during the summer months.

ExplorersInvestigate Zoo Careers from animal care to development and marketing, from visitor services and maintenance to Zoo director. Qualified high school students interested in learning more about Zoos and Zoo careers are welcome to join Zoo Career Explorers. Explorer members attend career workshops with hands-on activities, take part in job shadows, develop a public presentation and create a year-end project. Program fee of $120 covers all project materials, t-shirt and other costs.

Cool Blue BridgeportEvery Saturday until June 24, 2023, the Zoo will be free to all Bridgeport residents as part of the Zoo's COOL BLUE Bridgeport program.
